What is this study about?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Doctors want to learn the best way to help people with heart failure who may or may not need a special device called an ICD (implantable cardioverter defibrillator). This device can stop heart rhythms disturbances, but it also comes with some risks like infections or shocks that may not be needed. This study compares two groups: one group will get the ICD, and the other will not.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

What will happen if I join?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

If you join, you will be placed into one of two groups: one that gets the ICD device, and one that does not. You will still get top-quality heart medicine and regular checkups no matter what group you're in. If your heart condition changes, you may get an ICD later if needed.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
